FoST is an invitation-only event designed to further our understanding of the art, science, and business of communication in the 21st century and beyond. Top thinkers and practitioners from diverse fields gathered to share ideas and experiences on everything from the new/old oral tradition to narrative in console games, from the biochemical impact of stories on the human brain to cutting-edge collaborative storytelling projects and many other hot topics. The Flux was brought in to provide fresh strategies on how to make this year's conference even more memorable as well as all creative direction.
The Flux updated the current web design. While staying consistent with pre established look and feel, we were able to rebuild the site on Wordpress while making visual changes to provide a more modern experience.
The Feast is a Social Innovation Conference based in New York bringing together leaders from across industries to engage each other in creating world-shaking change. Participants included Arcade Fire, Beth Comstock (GMO of GE), Gillian Ferrabee (creative director at Cirque du Soleil), James Adams (deputy chief technologist at NASA) and Paul Farmer (Founder of Partners in Health) as well as corporate partners such as Intel, NBC, Absolut and Microsoft. The Flux was brought on to provide global strategy, all creative direction and production support.
Working closely with the Feast's core team, strong strategic support was provided pertaining to most aspect of the conference. The event centered around challenges put out by the speakers to the attendees and then followed by a day where attendees formed small groups and responded to on one of the challenges. The Flux spent a lot of time refining the process and was instrumental in integrating the activities happening at the conference with the online initiatives.

Feast Worldwide
The conference lasted 3 days and was followed by an online effort called Feast Worldwide, where 3000+ people gathered around the world to have dinners and find solutions to the challenges we proposed at the conference. The Flux conceived and designed the online platform which allowed all participants to communicate with each other via a fully integrated Twitter solution. We also partnered with Microsoft Bing and used custom mapping applications to allow users to see what was going on internationally as it was happening.

Feast Pavilion
The Flux led the transformation of an entirely raw space in the Lower East Side of Manhattan intended to showcase and celebrate the latest in social innovation. The space was comprised of large scale art pieces curated from local artist and was used as a platform to host dinner and dance parties for all guest and on the last night, for the wider public.
Feast Hackathon
The Flux provided strategy support and produced the Feast Hackathon with partner Intel. The Hackathon brought some of NYC’s best talent to look at how vibrant data could be used to improve the day to day lives of seniors and single parents.
The Institute for Integrative Nutrition is the largest online nutrition school in the world. Founded over 20 years ago by Joshua Rosenthal, it is known for its unique holistic approach to nutrition. Given the wide reach of its curriculum, they have brought together an all star cast of teachers including Andrew Weil MD, Deepak Chopra, Mark Hyman MD and David Wolfe. The Flux was enlisted to help with the school’s rebranding and to support it’s transition from a physical school to an exclusively online one.

Integrative Nutrition brought in the Flux to redesign their entire website and to build out a robust custom content management system that allowed them to do everything from making site updates to building landing pages that were fully integrated with Salesforce at will. We also oversaw the production of a series of promotional videos that were featured throughout the site. Note: the site has since been up kept by internal design resources.

Student Websites
Online Service designed to give Integrative Nutrition alumni a full suite of tools to market themselves once they’ve graduated and are ready to start their private practice. System served 15,000+ students and allowed them to create a customized website with fully integrated blog and event calendar in minutes.
iPhone App
The Flux provided designs and strategic support for an Integrative Nutrition iPhone app that showcased the schools online program.
Practice Management App
Suite of tools to further helps students manage their practice once they graduated. This enhanced system was connected to their cloud and provided in-depth contact management functionality.
Logo Generator
Innovative web app designed to help students generate unique branding with which to market themselves. Completely based in the browser, the app allowed users to manipulate vector based graphics, changing colors and fonts, while preserving un-compromised graphic resolution. Over 100 base logos were created to accompany the system.
A socially driven luxury brand, Fonderie 47 buys AK 47s in Africa and then melts them down to make high-end jewelry.
Strategy, web design and development
The Flux provided artistic direction and design for their new website which coincided with the New York City launch of their new Phoenix Collection designed by world-renown designer James de Givenchy.
